Q - What are your Peak and off peak times?
A - Off peak times are all days between 1st November and 31st March (excluding December 23rd - January 1st) and Monday - Thursday at all other times
Peak times are Friday - Sunday from 1st April to 31st October and December 23rd - January 1st
Q - Why do you only play at 25 weddings a year?
A - Do you want a DJ who is so busy you can't get hold of them? A DJ who was playing until 2am the night before your wedding or a DJ who has just come from an afternoon event?
We make sure we only work once every weekend, this way we can focus on your wedding in the lead up to it and you have a refreshed DJ ready to perform at his best for your special day!
Q - What type of music do you play?
A - This is 100% based on your choices prior to the night, requests we receive from your guests and the crowd we see in front of us - No wedding is the same so giving you a 'typical set-list' would be completely wrong of us!
Q - What type of music do YOU like?
I'm a Dance and UK Garage man at heart - anything from 2000 - 2010 is also right up my street
Q - How do I book? What is the deposit?
A - The deposit for evening receptions is usually £100 - but this is very dependent on the total cost and duration. For all-day weddings the deposit is £200. To book, a booking form will be sent to you via email and will need to be completed along with the deposit payment. That's it!
Q - Can you play themed parties and weddings?
A - Of course! We will play anything you want - We have played at a whole host of themed weddings, including 80s, West-End Musicals and a rock wedding!
Q - Are you fully insured?
A - Of course, with public liability insurance up to £10 million you can be even more confident that Unity Wedding DJs are right for you. To see Adam's PLI document click here
Q - Are you DBS Checked?
A - Yes, Please email to obtain our DBS certificate number and check online. Alternatively we can send you a scanned copy of the certificate.
Q - What time will you set up?
A - This depends on a number of factors.
For events that are close to our base in Poole we may try and set up early in the day (sometimes the day before) and then arrive at the venue around 20 minutes before the start time.
For events not within a reasonable commutable distance we will look to set up around 5.30pm for a 7.30pm start. If the room is being used during the day or there are times when set up is not possible we ask you to give us these details.
To guarantee an early set up we charge a small fee (to cover fuel) and will then guarantee to have our whole set up complete by midday on the day of the event.
Q - What will you wear?
A - Evening events will always be a shirt, dark trousers and shoes - no trainers for us! If you are organising a formal event or a fancy dress party then let us know - we love dressing up!
Q - Can I give you a list of requests?
A - Of course! We welcome a list of requests and would even encourage it! Usually we ask for no more than 30 songs (we will then pick other songs similar to those chosen!) otherwise we end up sounding a little like an ipod and less like a DJ! On the night we are super-approachable, we want people to come and talk to us - requesting whatever they want (within reason!)
We also take a banner with us to events which encourages people to make requests via text too!
